A small-scale permit is required for specific work, such as minor renovations, repairs or construction that does not affect the building's load-bearing structure. Each case is considered on a case-by-case basis, in accordance with current legislation.
The time required to issue a building permit depends on the type of project, the completeness of the supporting documents and the required studies. Usually, once the file is completed, the process is completed within a specific timeframe that depends on the respective MPA.

The settlement of unauthorized buildings includes the inspection of the property, the preparation of the necessary plans and the inclusion in the relevant provisions of Law 4495/2017, aiming at the legalization and the possibility of transfer or utilization of the property.
A change of use is required when a premises is to be used differently from its original licence, such as converting a warehouse into a dwelling. In these cases, a study and approval from the relevant authorities is required.
